News: Down Time III

I’m sorry to report that this web site (and my others) were down a couple of times over the weekend.  This time, both were beyond my control in every respect.

Saturday morning I had no Internet connection and Sunday evening had a total lack of electricity.

I’m am sorry for these down times, which amounted to everything being off-line for about 15 hours in total.

News: Downtime II

Due to my relocation to the other end of the UK, my systems have been down for too long.  Like just over a week.

After a week of my servers sitting here doing nothing but making hot air.  BT finally connected up and activated my broadband connection on behalf Demon (Thus) here on the Scottish Orkney island [...]

Downtime

Due to my relocation to the other end of the UK and BT taking 6weeks to install my communication lines (instead of 2weeks).  It is now impossible for me to relocate my web servers before I move.

Because of this, the servers will travel with me or in the removals lorry and thus could be off-line for up to a week. I’m sorry about this, but I did try to get everything relocated in time.  It is a primary task to restore this service as quickly as I can once I arrive.

Sorry about this and I’ll be back on-line as quickly as possible.

Oops: Virtual Server

Made bit of a minor slip up on the Virtual Machine that runs this (and other) web sites of mine.

This resulted in everything being down for about 6 hours yesterday afternoon before I realised what had happened.

Please accept my apologies for this outage, I continue to investigate the full corrective action required to reduce a repeat in the future.
